Did you see Robert M. Tindall’s Article, The Warrior Retreat: An MMA indicator on MMACALIFORNIA.net? I think he had some great insight on the future of MMA. Check it out. See if you think he on to something.
I checked it out. Saw your name at the bottom. Lucky you. Bet that was a great experience.
I see what Tindall’s getting at. The sport definitely has that potential to be the biggest sport to span the globe, although I don’t know if it will happen within eight years. That’s pretty ambitious, but anything’s possible. It definitely crosses all cultural and language barriers, and more importantly, like the seminar, brings people from different cultural backgrounds together. I hope the fighter accessibility doesn’t change as more fame and fortune comes their way.
I’m not so sure it will ever be bigger than football in the US or bigger than soccer in Europe though. That’s a pretty tall order. If so, it’s going to take a lot longer than eight years.
