The major stumbling block: Cung Le still have three fights left on his Strikeforce contract.
Like the Fedor situation, it’s very doubtful that the UFC would agree to a one off fight against one of its champions without the ability to wrap Le up in a long term deal. It’s an intriguing fight though, and hopefully one we’ll see in the future. Silva would easily be the favorite, but Cung thinks he knows the secret to taking out the Brazilian.
