Apparently, Affliction is trying to work with every major combat sports promotion not named the UFC. According to Gegard Mousasi, Affliction wants the newly crowned DREAM Middleweight Champion to fight Vitor Belfort on their January card. Mousasi also revealed to Fighters Only Magazine that he believes Fedor Emelianenko’s opponent will be Josh Barnett.
Speaking to Fighters Only this week, he revealed that the US organisation wants him to fight the Brazilian, while Red Devil team mate Fedor Emelianenko may face Josh Barnett.
The UFC Reportedly Heading To Dublin, Ireland For UFC 93; Rich Franklin Possibly Headlining

It looks like the UFC is holding two events in January again next year. According to a report Yahoo! EuroSport, the UFC is headed to the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Jan. 17 to hold UFC 93. The Super Bowl weekend event which is believed to be headlined by the GSP vs. BJ Penn II mega fight would become UFC 94.
It appears they already have a few names in mind for the trip to Ireland.

Couture & Trigg Weigh In On EliteXC-Affliction-Golden Boy; Are The Partnerships Viable Long-Term?

Frank Trigg has some interesting comments on Affliction-EliteXC and Affliction-Golden Boy partnerships, so make sure you watch past Randy Couture.
They don’t talk about this in the video, but it is something I’ve been thinking about regarding the Affliction-Golden Boy partnership. From what we know so far, they have plans to put on one major boxing match and fill the rest of the card with MMA. Pretty much every MMA pundit that’s commented on the partnership feels that Golden Boy will have to put together a marquee fight for this to have any chance to work. Michael D. Cohen stated to NBCSports.com that would be the case.
