Steroid suspensions be damned! They’re not going to stop Antonio Silva from getting back in the ring.

Earlier this month, there were rumblings that Silva was in talks to compete in Japan despite the 12-month suspension handed down to him by the CSAC for testing positive for Boldenone. And now, reports have surfaced confirming that he will be fighting on Jan. 4 for Sengoku against none other than the dude who kissed Heath Herring during the pre-fight stare down at K-1 Dynamite!! 2005.

World Victory Road on Friday confirmed that Antonio Silva would compete on its Jan. 4 event, Sengoku 7. The EliteXC heavyweight champion is slated to face Yoshihiro Nakao.

It’s worth noting that the suspension doesn’t preclude him from fighting in Japan. The problem is the athletic commissions don’t exactly consider it “good behavior” when it comes time for reinstatement, so it’s definitely a risk. What’s also a risk is getting too close to a dude who is known to kiss other dudes right before they fight.

We wish Antonio Silva the best of luck on both accounts.
