Rich Franklin’s Eye Looks Worse Than It Is

Rich Franklin Eye Poke After Pic

It’s not out of the ordinary to see Rich Franklin show up at appearances, in interviews, and videos with a black eye. But, this one takes the cake. Rich was the victim of an accidental eye poke last Saturday when he fought Dan Henderson, and as you can see in the picture above, it was pretty bad. Lucky for Rich though, it apparently looks at lot worse than it actually is. Unlike Anthony Johnson who had to undergo surgery to repair his eye, Rich’s won’t require an operation.

After losing the decision to Dan Henderson, Rich has some healing to do. He had to get stitches in two spots on his head from the head butt, and stitches on his shin from one of his kicks. Everyone has been asking about his eye- from the eye poke at the end of the fight- and we are happy to say he doesn’t need surgery. He does have a cut on the white part of his eye and a slight tear, but it doesn’t require surgery. Pictures have been posted so you can see what it looks like now.
