What better way to prepare for a showdown with BJ Penn than to train with someone who has two wins over the Hawaiian?
Florian was in attendance at UFC 94, and must have liked what he saw out of GSP, because he has decided to train with the French Canadian in Montreal.
Also slated to make his way down to the “Beautiful Province” for training is Team Sityodtong member Kenny Florian, who looks to benefit from a full training camp with Zahabi and St-Pierre before taking on Penn for the lightweight title later this year.
Karo Parisyan has also decided that he will be heading up to Canada to get ready for his next test in the Octagon, after a less than stellar performance in his last outing.
This is a very smart move for both of these fighters, as the work ethic that GSP possesses is second to none. For Florian, St. Pierre and his mixed martial arts coach Zahabi will ensure that the lightweight contender enters his fight with a game plan that puts him in a position to succeed. St. Pierre knows the strengths and weaknesses of the UFC Lightweight Champion, and after hearing the complaints from the Penn camp following their recent bout, St. Pierre will want nothing more than to see Florian win.
