Was Josh Koscheck The Victim Of An Early Stoppage?

As you can tell from the video, Koscheck definitely thinks the ref jumped in too early to stop the fight after Paulo Thiago dropped him with an uppercut-left hook combo. I thought it might have been early myself, at least until I saw the replay. For a second or two, it appeared Kos wasn’t all there. I would have rather seen the ref let it go, maybe Josh could have recovered, but maybe not, we’ll never know.

What do you think? Does Koscheck have a legitimate reason to be pissed?

Koscheck should only be pissed at himself for taking this fight lightly. At this stage in the game fighters are simply all too good to assume that you can walk all over anybody. It was clear that Koscheck was the better fighter in the Octagon, but when you don’t watch any tape on your opponent and assume that you can just go in there and ‘do your thing’, you are going to pay the price. Koscheck did pay the price on Saturday, and deservedly so. Good stoppage in my book.
