MMAConvert 1.5

MMAConvert 1.5
The other day, I teased that we had a pretty big surprise on the way. Well, surprise! Unless you’re reading this in a feed reader (in which case you need to click through), it’s pretty obvious we’ve made a few changes (more like a overhaul). I’ve actually been planning this now since late last summer, but never had the time to actually work on it. But, thanks to my awesome team of writers that joined me a few months ago, I was finally able to find some time to get it going. So big thanks to them!

Getting down to the nitty gritty, the blog is no longer on the front page, but don’t freak out, it’s not gone. It’s just on a separate page now, so those of you who prefer that format, all you need to do is change your bookmark to, or click on one of the many links. My goal with the front page is to give you guys a snapshot of what’s going on in MMA at any given time. You’ll see we have a section to feature posts we don’t want to get lost in the shuffle, and lists of our posts and videos split up towards the top. Then right below is where we’ve integrated our Twitter feed, which we’re now using to post all fight announcements and other news and notes we find interesting, but aren’t planning to post on. Below that is the latest episode of ESPN MMA Live, which will be updated as when ESPN releases them.

You may have noticed this post is titled MMAConvert 1.5 and not 2.0. Well, there’s a reason for that. We’re not done. The second phase of our redesign will consist of adding some very deep and extensive community features for you guys, however, it’s not going to be done for a few months, so I figured we’d split it up into two phases.

I would like to thank all of you for coming to the site and helping it grow, because honestly, without you guys, we just wouldn’t have the motivation to continue to improve upon what’s already been built. So, thank you.

One final note, I’ve gone through the new site with a fine tooth comb in almost every browser, but there’s still a chance I missed something. If you see anything that doesn’t look right, please leave a comment below or hit us up on our contact page. Thanks again, and hope you like the new look.
