No one really knows what Kimbo’s chances are for TUF 10 since no one knows what level of fighters Kimbo will be competing against.
Well, if they’re all as tough as the latest confirmed cast member, Kimbo’s chances just went from slim to none. According to MMA Madness, Roy Nelson has joined the cast of season ten of The Ultimate Fighter.
Former IFL Heavyweight champion Roy “Big Country” Nelson and UFC veteran Wes Sims will join Kimbo Slice on the cast for The Ultimate Fighter Season 10: The Heavyweights, a source close to the show reported.
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting a heavyweight the caliber of Nelson to end up on TUF. If the rest of the cast is as tough as Nelson, then we should be in for a really great season. Problem is there’s not a lot of other higher quality heavyweights out there, so the chances of that happenening are pretty slim, meaning Roy’s as good a bet as any to win the whole thing.

I think this is totally unfair. It’s one thing to put Kimbo on the show, he sucks, it’s quite another to put Roy Nelson on there. He was the IFL champ and is way out of the league of anyone who’s been on that show up to now. He’ll smash them all which is totally unfair. What’s the point of putting a guy who could be a contender in your hvywght division on the show if it’s not to make sure that Kimbo doesn’t win?
It will be interesting to see how he does in training with that big bubba gut. Kinda funny considering he was turned down by the UFC in the past for not haveing a ciseled physique. He isn’t the brughtest guy in the world either I’m pretty sure he was talking smack about Henderson when he got choked out by Silva saying that he was pretty sure he could hold his breath for more than the ten seconds that was left in the round.I hope him and kimbo become good friends during the show that would be hilarious.
Max i see your point but he is far, far from being a contender in the HWD in the UFC, even in his IFL champ days – but it does seem unfair but maybe the other guys are of a higher caliber – and dana does want to bulk up the HWD so i guess it kind of makes some sense.
