It only takes a quick glance at the latest WEC fighter salaries to see that the little guys aren’t making anywhere near what they’re counterparts in the UFC are pulling in. While they’re very respectable in talking about it, you definitely get a sense that two of the WEC’s biggest stars, Urijah Faber and Miguel Torres, are starting to get a little restless about the fighter pay in the WEC. After all, when all the UFC champs are cashing six-figure paychecks while theirs is in the low-middle five-figures, can you blame them? The difference of course is pay-per-view, something both fighters understand, but it’s probably going to be a long time before the WEC finds any success there, so what do they do in the meantime? Unfortunately, all they can really do is wait, but you gotta wonder how long they can hold out before their patience runs dry, especially when their window of competing at an elite level is only open for so long.

I really would like to see the WEC go away and move the new weigh classes over to the UFC. That would mean a few more UFC fights a year, a few more title fights a year, better pay for the fighters, and make the UFC stronger!!!
Dana White is you read this come on buddy!!!!!!
Guess I’m not the only one thinking that. Would be the quickest solution, for the fighters at least.
I agree, They really need to either merge the two or find some other way to increase the popularity of the WEC. I think they need to change up the look of the cage n i think blue makes it look to much like a jv league. Mergeing the two would give more legitimacy to the lower weight classes
