Tito Ortiz: ‘Don’t Call It A Comeback’

It’s Tito Ortiz’s first day back in the gym since back surgery. He hasn’t trained in a year and a half, but he’s now the very proud owner of a brand new shiny UFC contract and has a likely opponent in Mark Coleman waiting for him sometime at the end of this year. There’s a lot of work ahead, as evidenced by the slow motion vomiting at the four minute mark, but hey, they don’t call it comeback for nothing.

The vomitting was a nice touch but I guess if you’re not puking you’re not working out hard enough. Seems like alot of people are writing Tito off these days like he doesn’t have a chance for another belt. I think I’ll wait for at least one fight before I judge. A fucked up back would definately affect his ability to score takedowns which is a huge part of his game and something he seemed to be struggling with. If he comes back slamming guys through the floor then I would say he has a good chance at fighting for the belt again.

I’m not a fan of his but he always seems to make things interesting and a Vera would definately be an interesting since they both like to run their mouths.
