So much for that number one contender bout between Mike Swick and Martin Kampmann at UFC 103.
According to The Sun (they have sources this time), Swick has suffered an undisclosed injury which has forced him off the card. One man’s loss is another man’s gain. Paul Daley, who was previously slated to take on Brian Foster in the UFC 103 prelims, will now get a chance to showcase his skills on the televised card against Kampmann. And he’s already starting the hype.
Daley — who will be making his Octagon debut — told SunSport: “I got the call and I accepted. I came to the UFC to fight the best, and that’s what I am going to do.
“Kampmann is on a roll with the UFC, but I will roll over him. Semtex is going to explode onto the UFC’s welterweight scene at UFC 103.”
You hear that people, Semtex is going to roll over his ass. We’ll see, but if he does, what does that mean for welterweight title picture? Georges St. Pierre needs an opponent early next year, and if not Kampmann, then who?
