It’s basically understood that Dan Henderson is either going to fight Gegard Mousasi or Jake Shields on the next CBS Saturday Night Fights card currently scheduled for April. According to Five Knuckles, it’s going to be the latter.
Newly signed Strikeforce superstar Dan Henderson is in “end stage” negotiations to face Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields at the organizations next CBS event in April.
FiveKnuckles.com learned of the impending match-up from sources close to the organization, and though bout agreements have yet to be signed, the fight is in the process of being finalized according to multiple official sources.
Assuming this is true, Jake Shields is about to be in for the most challenging fight of his career. He has to get Hendo to the ground and keep him there to win, and that’s an incredibly difficult task to accomplish without pummeling him on the feet first which Jake doesn’t exactly excel at. Of course, I said pretty much the same thing about Shields-Lawler and look what happened there.
