Last word out of Brock Lesnar’s camp said they were waiting to find out if Brock needed another operation, and if not he would be making a summer return. Well, he must of got good news because his camp has now confirmed through his Facebook page that he will indeed return in July.
An earlier report suggested the UFC had penciled Brock in for their first foray into Massachusetts, however, if Brock does in fact return in July, it won’t be in Boston. Dana White revealed to the Boston Herald that the UFC will be staging their first Boston event at the TD Garden on August 28. It’s a huge event for the UFC, one they’ll want to feature their biggest stars in, so don’t be surprised if Brock’s return gets pushed back a month.
Update: Dave Meltzer says there’s no truth to what was posted on Lesnar’s Facebook account.
There is nothing to the story of Brock Lesnar on his supposed Facebook account saying he will be fighting in July. It was posted there, but according to people very close to him it’s not true. He’s not making any decisions for at least the next six weeks, and when there is official news about anything, UFC will break it, not Brock. Lesnar doesn’t even have an Internet connection, let alone Facebook account.
It’s true Brock doesn’t have the internet or update his Facebook account, however the report linked above says DeathClutch manages it. Either way, we have more conflicting information regarding Brock Lesnar.
