“I’ve been dealing with a good amount of stress the last few weeks, just trying to get everything situated. I’m one man, and I just want to have an opportunity to fight, and it seems kind of hard because one thing it’s opponents, and then where and when, and all that, so it’s a little stressful…I’m trying to keep my eye on the prize. I keep training and try to stay ready so whoever they pick, hopefully I’ll be ready for them…I just want to fight, that’s what it all boils down to. I just want to fight. If I could get six fights this year, that would be great. It’s a little far fetched, especially considering my opponents are going to get stiffer and stiffer, but at least four fights this year.”
—Bobby Lashley telling MMA Weekly he wants to fight despite not having an opponent for Strikeforce “Miami” yet
Word on the street is TUF 10’s wildman Wes Sims is in talks with Strikeforce to take on Lashley, however MMA Weekly says “nothing is certain.” Sims wouldn’t be much of a test for Lashley, but he has a familiar name from the reality show. Definitely makes sense from Strikeforce’s perspective.

Update: MMA Junkie has confirmed that Wes Sims will in fact be Bobby Lashley’s opponent on Jan. 30.
A rumored bout between heavyweights Wes Sims (22-12-1 MMA, 0-0 SF) and Bobby Lashley (4-0 MMA, 0-0 SF) finally has materialized for next week’s “Strikeforce: Miami” card, sources close to the event today confirmed with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).
It appears Wes Sims is a busy man these days, because he apparently also has a fight with Tim Sylvia coming up in March.
