Chael Sonnen is going to get the next middleweight title shot. The question is, against who? Anderson Silva or Vitor Belfort? We won’t know until April 10, but I can tell you Sonnen is rooting for Anderson Silva. Not because he wants to test himself against someone who’s widely considered one of the best fighters in the world though, Sonnen just thinks he’s a much easier opponent to beat. Seriously…
“I hope Anderson wins because I think Vitor is a lot tougher fighter,” Sonnen said. “If I have to choose between the two, I’m going to take the low road and choose the easier opponent. I really do mean it. Vitor Belfort, in truth, has really never lost a fight. The blueprint to beat Vitor is out there, but it’s not to stand up with him. I am picking Vitor.”
If it is Silva, Sonnen guaranteed his verbal assaults will have Anderson in tears by the time they fight. I imagine having a pissed off Anderson Silva wanting to beat your head in is one of the most terrifying situations you can possibly put yourself in, but Sonnen has already taken it this far. He might as well see it all the way through.

I seem to remember Chuck and Randy beating the fuck out of Vitor, so he has definitly lost a few, but way to go Sonnen you shut me up.
fair enough that Sonnen was on top for majority of the fight and deserved to win because of it. but lets look at the condition of Sonnen’s face compared to Marquardt… who took a “bigger” beating?
