Ryan Couture Put To Sleep In Last Amateur Fight, Doesn’t Lose

Betcha never seen this before. At last Friday night’s Tuff-N-Uff show in Las Vegas, Randy Couture’s son, Ryan Couture, fought in what may be his last amateur fight before turning pro. Crazy things happen in this sport and they did in this one. Sean Bollinger caught Couture in a triangle at the end of the second round putting him to sleep (5:45 mark). Fight’s over, right? Wrong, the referee ruled that Couture went out after the round had ended, though it appeared he went limp right when the bell rung, so despite being put to sleep, Couture went back to work in the third. And if that wasn’t weird enough, the judges ended up scoring the fight a draw. What are the odds of that ever happening again?

Below, RawVegas.tv caught up with Randy and Ryan at the show.
