UFC 110 Replay Edges Strikeforce ‘Nashville’ In M18-34 Demo, Loses In M18-49 (Update: Conflicting Info)

The final ratings are in for both the Strikeforce “Nashville” CBS broadcast and the UFC 110 replay on Spike TV.

Strikeforce’s overall viewership did increase with the overrun factored in, but probably not enough to deem it a success by anyone’s standards, especially CBS’. The final numbers:

  • Average viewers: 2.9 million (up 300k from the overnights, down 1.14 million from “Fedor vs. Rogers”)
  • HH: 1.0
  • M18-34: 1.26
  • M18-49: 1.5

The UFC 110 replay only attracted a little less than half the number of average viewers as Strikforce “Nashville” did, however it manage to edge Strikeforce out in the key M18-34 demo, just not in the M18-49 demo.

  • Average viewers: 1.4 million
  • HH: 1.0
  • M18-34: 1.4
  • M18-49: 1.2

Note: CBS is available in more homes than Spike TV

There’s really not anything to brag about on either side here (though I’m sure you could argue the UFC 110 replay did it’s job). April 17 wasn’t MMA’s best showing on free television…by a long shot.

Update: Somehow there is conflicting information regarding the numbers above, specifically the M18-34 numbers. The numbers according to Sherdog:

Strikeforce “Nashville”:

  • Average viewers: 2.9 million (up 300k from the overnights, down 1.14 million from “Fedor vs. Rogers”)
  • HH: 1.8
  • M18-34: 1.3
  • M18-49: 1.5

UFC 110 replay:

  • Average viewers: 1.4 million
  • HH: 0.09 (inclined to think this is a typo in the report and it should be a .9)
  • M18-34: 1.1
  • M18-49: N/A

If Sherdog’s numbers are accurate, then CBS topped Spike in the M18-34 demo, not the other way around.
