UFC ‘Fight for the Troops 2’ has been officially announced.
UFC Fight Night 23 “Fight for the Troops 2” is scheduled to take place at Fort Hood, Texas on Saturday, January 22 and will air live on Spike TV at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
The card will be headlined by a lightweight fight between Kenny Florian and Evan Dunham. Other fights announced for the card include Mike Swick vs. David Mitchell, Matt Mitrione vs. Tim Hague, DaMarques Johnson vs. Mike Guymon and Melvin Guillard vs. Yves Edwards.
The UFC and Spike TV is once again partnering with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The event will raise funds for American soldiers who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.
“It’s always a great honor for us to entertain the men and women of the military by bringing them some great fights while raising money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund,” UFC President Dana White said. “It’s the least we can do for the people who are defending this country and making so many sacrifices for our freedom, and this is a cause the UFC will always support.”
