Round One Of Gerald Harris vs. Maiquel Falcao Cut Short By Six Seconds

So this is pretty crazy. This past weekend at UFC 123, Maiquel Falcao put Gerald Harris in a very tight rear-naked choke at the end of the first round of their fight, but the bell saved Harris before he went to sleep or tapped out. Check this video out though. I didn’t notice it during the broadcast, but the horn blows like a second and a half after the clock disappeared with eight seconds left, meaning the round got cut short by six to seven seconds. Needless to say, seven seconds was more than enough time for Falcao to finish Harris off, but he wasn’t given the chance. Falcao ended up winning anyways so it’s not like he got robbed, but it sure might have saved us from that boring third round if the time keeper had done their job correctly.
