I’m proud to announce that we have partnered with Pro MMA Radio to bring you weekly replays of PMR as the official radio show of MMAConvert.com.
Hosted by Larry Pepe, Pro MMA Radio (“PMR”) is a weekly Internet radio show devoted to bringing fans the latest from the exciting world of mixed martial arts. Unlike many shows, PMR goes “Beyond the Fight” and provides in-depth interviews that get into the careers and lives of the fighters as well as detailed and thought provoking analysis of MMA. PMR is heard live by a worldwide audience every Monday at 6 PM PST, 9 PM EST. On-Demand replays and Podcasts of every show are available 24/7 by going to either the “Replay Corner” section of ProMMARadio.com or our own Pro MMA Radio page found on our navigation bar above. We will also do a weekly post alerting fans when the current week’s replay is ready along with guest info and a link to the show.
Weekly guests include top fighters, trainers and industry insiders from the UFC, WEC and other top MMA promotions. Recent guests of the show include MMA champions and superstars such as Brock Lesnar, Randy Couture, Frank Mir, Mike Brown, Rashad Evans, Urijah Faber, Jens Pulver, Dan Henderson, Jamie Varner, and Sean Sherk. Additionally, the show features experts from the MMA media, top managers, trainers and company executives from the world of mixed martial arts.
On this week’s edition of Pro MMA Radio, Kenny Florian joined Larry Pepe to chat about the UFC’s lightweight division. Florian especially had strong words for Melvin Guillard regarding his bold proclamation at “Fight for the Troops 2″ that he was the best lightweight in the division. Florian thinks he and Guillard need to get in the cage if Guillard thinks he deserves a title shot over him. Transcribed via Fighter’s Only:
“It doesn’t make sense. There’s a lot of guys working hard. It’s who the best fighter is. If Melvin thinks he deserves a shot over me, he should fight me and beat me. It’s always about who the best fighter is. Who has he beaten? What has he done?” he said on Pro MMA Radio.
“That’s great he’s finally considered a top contender. Losing to Joe Stevenson in the first round isn’t gonna get you that shot. You have to be consistent. He has to separate himself from the pack. I would take that fight.”
