Joe Rogan Says Fedor Emelianenko Is Fighting In The Wrong Weight Class

Is Fedor Emelianenko, the longtime king of the heavyweight division, now fighting in the wrong weight class? Joe Rogan thinks so. At a recent Fight Club Q&A, Rogan said Fedor “can’t be rolling around fat at 230″ competing with guys that weigh 290 on fight night.

Before the Antonio Silva fight, I would have said no, but after seeing how Silva physically manhandled the much smaller Fedor, I’m starting to think Joe’s right. There were rumors that Fedor wanted to drop to 205 and he did look noticeably slimmer in recent training pics, but M-1 Global quickly shot down any notion that Fedor would drop down to the light heavyweight division. If Fedor suffers another loss like he had against Bigfoot though, maybe they’ll reconsider.
