Rampage Jackson Wants His UFC/PRIDE Unified Light Heavyweight Belt Back

The belt that I lost to Forrest Griffin, even though I should have got the decision after knocking his ass down in that fight? The belt Forrest lost to Rashad Evans? The one Rashad lost to Lyoto Machida? The one Machida lost when Maurico “Shogun” Rua beat him? The one Jon Jones took from the injured “Shogun” who couldn’t even train? That one? That belt? That belt is the unified PRIDE and UFC world title, and that belt exists because of me beating Chuck Liddell and Dan Henderson in two straight fights to win the UFC and then PRIDE titles… I think now I didn’t appreciate even myself what I had accomplished, and by the time I did, I’d lost it. That’s why I want my belt back so bad. It’s my belt. So it does kinda bug me that people think I’m not taking this fight in Denver next against Jones seriously. It’s dead serious, heart attack serious to me. I want that belt back.

— Rampage Jackson guest blogging for Yahoo! Sports about getting his belt back

It’s no secret that Rampage Jackson hates training for fights and doesn’t always put 100% into it, but it definitely seems like he’s taking this one seriously. Rampage says he’s been training at altitude at the Muscle Pharm Gym in Denver for the last seven weeks, so you know he’s going to be mean and pissed off if nothing else come fight time.

    rampage gonna beat jones

    • i like sexy time

      Yes Sir!

      • ass

        with any luck

I just can’t see how people think Rampage will win.  He hasn’t looked the same since he lost his belt, mean while,  Jon Jones has looked unbeatable.  Rampage has knock out power, but hasn’t KO’d anyone since the Axe Murder.  Jones might not finish Rampage, but he will win

Yeah I’m pretty much thinking the same thing. Rampage is dangerous and anything can happen in this sport. But I’m thinking that Jones’ reach will be an insurmountable advantage in the end.

i know its a long shot but im really pulling for rampage in this one. i just hope he doesnt just plan on knocking him out… its as likely as anderson silva getting ko’ed by anyone.
