Alistair Overeem Is Going To ‘Kick Brock Lesnar’s A**’

“Brock is an amazing athlete. He’s a very strong guy, a very strong dude. He’s going to be at UFC 141 125 percent. That’s what I’m expecting. He’s going to be there full force, so some clip shot who knows when, where, whatever — I’ve not even seen it. I’ve got to imagine that if you’re going to accept the fight against me, you will be there 100 percent. In his case I expect 125 percent. He’s going to be motivated… You know what? I’m going to be bold. I’m going to kick that guy’s ass.”

— Alistair Overeem on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani talking about his upcoming fight against Brock Lesnar at UFC 141

As he revealed in the latest episode of The REEM, Alistair Overeem will be training at Xtreme Couture over the next eight weeks to train for Brock Lesnar. I could be wrong, but I don’t believe there are many high level heavyweight wrestlers training there at the moment, so I am a little curious if he’s going to have the right training partners to prepare him for Brock’s double legs.

On the flipside, we really have no idea what’s going on in Lesnar’s training camp. All we’ve seen from Brock in months is that WWE video game promo where he looked noticeably smaller than he has in the past.

It will definitely be interesting to see how both fighters are prepared when they step in the cage on Dec. 30.
