Rampage Jackson vs. Ryan Bader Booked For UFC 144 In Japan

So it looks like Rampage Jackson is going to fight in Japan after all.

But it won’t be against Shogun Rua or even Stephan Bonnar. Instead, Rampage will take on Ryan Bader at UFC 144. Lorenzo Fertitta confirmed the news with ESPN.com.

The UFC has granted Quinton Jackson‘s request to fight in Japan in February.

The former light heavyweight champion will meet Ryan Bader at UFC 144. UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta confirmed the matchup to ESPN.com.

The fight must have come together quick because just the other day Rampage tweeted that he wasn’t fighting in Japan and he wasn’t “happy about it at all.” It seems the UFC took notice and turned Rampage’s frown upside down.

Furthermore, the booking dispels rumors that Rampage Jackson will fight on the UFC on FOX 2 card.

    That’s weird,maybe rampage was just throwing everyone off about not fighting in Japan,anyway its a good fight,if rampage goes on a rampage it should be a easy win for him but if its the slowed down version we’ve seen lately then it could go either way,i’ll still be rooting for bader but i know he’s gonna be the under dog in this one

      lol u still mad at him from the motor boating thing? when was the last time rampage got knocked out cold? i doubt bader is going to be able to do anything against rampage, whether it be a take down or tagging him on his feet. rampage is a way better fighter than what most people give him credit for. not saying that bader isnt good, but he did get beat up by tito… sooooooo yeah.

        Rampage is just a A-1 tool that’s all. And it’s not just the motor boat thing. Remember when he coached season 10 of TUF? Remember how he would leave his boys in the ring after they lost and how Rashad ended up giving them a pep talk? I just don’t like him anymore. And I doubt Bader will knock out Ramapge, I just said I hope he does. PLus, MMA is a totally “any given Sunday” type of sport where anything can happen, so here’s hoping.
