Anderson Silva Says He’s Injured Again

It’s only been a week since Anderson Silva returned to the gym after nursing a shoulder injury for the past few months and Silva has already suffered another injury. Or at least that’s what he told Globo TV’s “Good Morning Brazil.” Transcription via SporTV (Google translation):

I’m not even sure when I come back, because I’m a shoulder injury, another injury that arose recently in my lower back, so I’m dealing with.

Dana White has said they would like book Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen II (if Sonnen beats Mark Munoz) at a Brazil soccer stadium in June, however it’s unclear if this new injury could throw a wrench into those plans or if it will affect the timing of Silva’s next title defense regardless of opponent.

Wait here for Chael Sonnen fans to acuse him of faking it or being scared.

Sounds like he is faking AND scared… hahahaha

You’re dumb dude, if you don’t know what fighting with an injury is like than you have no room to pass judgement. Try fighting with at least a broken hand and then you can say something stupid.

      • Luckiethirteen

Silva nut swinger, you know Sonnen is better and will destroy him. He talks mad shit but backs up every word

        • c dizzle

Lol does he now? He talked a whole bunch of shirt but got tapped out holmes. I love how every Sonnen fan forgets that part of the fight. I’m actually a fan of both fighters because both dudes are talented, but Silva’s the most impressive and the most exciting. You just a one dimensional viewer dude.

Chael talks the best “shirt” in the business….hahaha.

          • c dizzle

“Sonnen nut swinger”. Only a special needs kid laughs at their own words, and you do everytime. It makes sense, you would have to be mentally handicap to think Sonnen will win in a rematch.

    Clearing faking and defiantly scared

silva reminds me of mayweather he is the greatest and people pay to see if he is going to loss since he hasnt lost in a decade exactly like mayweather
just like i think mayweather is going to beat manny with ease if it ever happens i think silva is going to beat sonnen with ease if it ever happens

I would say if there was more time until sonnen and munoz were to fight and there was a time frame for how long silva will be out they could’ve just made munoz vs sonnen a interim title fight but I think there’s a thing about champions being out for at least a year before that can happen

dont see y i so many people hate on this guy. he basically wrecks every person put in front of him. chael sonnen has put far to much pressure on himself and will buckle under it again.

  • Jjieme

maybe we will see a interim belt

Is there any way of proving these injuries are real? I like how alistair actually
showed footage of him with a doctor clearly showing him x-rays,
absolute proof! Take a page will you Anderson?

I don’t think fighters you have to prove they are injured to fans,as it is I think when a fighter says they are injured a ufc doctor checks them out for siverity and I guess as proof to the ufc of an actual injury,I’m not sure this has always been the case but I’m pretty sure that since the fighter insurance kicked in they need to be cleared for their claim,if they check out with the ufc it should be good enough for fans

  • NoChanceSonnen

Silva will finish Sonnen in the 2nd or 3rd round you people are blind.

Fighting is a sport so dictated by momentum and right now Sonnen has all of it. I think anderson will have to win a mental battle against himself yo overcome soennen and it ain’t gonna happen. Confidence will give Soennen the decision.
