Well, you wouldn’t think it could happen twice, but it has. Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos are off Friday night’s Bellator 62 card, as the fight has been cancelled for a second time.
The two were scheduled to complete the heavyweight tournament last week, but the bout was nixed due to Prindle having flu-like symptoms. Rumors of Santos being well over weight, however, seem to be true, as the fight was pulled once again. The weigh-ins were even pushed back, possibly for Santos to try and make weight.
UPDATE: Mauro Ranallo, on his Twitter account, posted that Santos is still trying to make the 265-pound limit for the fight. Ranallo has posted that Santos is out of the finale. In the latest update, Prindle will be awarded tournament title and shot at Cole Konrad’s belt.
The main card will now consist of the four bouts in the lightweight tournament.
