Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal Could Receive Another Shot Under Zuffa Umbrella

Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal remains an unsigned fighter following his release from Strikeforce.

However, with his recent actions, UFC president Dana White told John Morgan of MMA Junkie that he is impressed with Lawal and could see him back fighting for Zuffa down the road.

Lawal was released from his contract after an outburst on Twitter following his heading in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Much of his heat was directed at Pat Lundvall, who questioned Lawal during the hearing.

We’ll see how this whole thing goes down. The fact that he called her and reached out to her, I mean, that’s what he should have done. It’s respectable. I respect that.

Both Bellator and the Super Fight League have expressed interest in Lawal, but so far, the former college wrestler has remained quiet on his thought process. Of course, he is currently suspended for a failed drug test, so that could have him weighing his options.

It might seem rediculous to say this because some will see it as a reward, but i think they should bring him into the ufc and let that be rampages last fight,to me giving rampage the shogun fight its just giving into a spoile little kid who yells F*** you,I hate you, your not my real father, when he doesnt get his way, with Lawson yeah its a step up but he is a prospect that seems to be a company man and there’s is already beef between them,so in a way rampage gets a good fight that claimed he wanted in the past but he’s not getting exactly what he wants before he leaves to try and find greener pastures

you really think king mo is a step up from shogun????

Nah I’m saying that rampage is being a punk so the ufc shouldnt give into his demands since hes leaving anyways,so why not try and build mo up by letting him fight rampage

I like your theory. Plus, the way Rampage has been fighting lately Mo would probably win. Sending Page out with a loss while making a new contender out of Mo.
