Anderson Silva-Chael Sonnen Rematch Could Be Coming To Las Vegas, UFC 148

With the issues presented before them in Brazil, rumors that the UFC could be shifting the Anderson Silva-Chael Sonnen rematch to Las Vegas have picked up.

The United Nations will hold a peace conference in the days prior to the planned UFC 147 card from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The O Globo, a Brazilian media outlet, is reporting that the Silva-Sonnen bout for the UFC middleweight title will move to July 7 and UFC 148, which has yet to be officially announced. That card is expected to feature UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz defending his title against Urijah Faber.

UFC president Dana White talked recently about the issues with Brazil and the card, saying he hoped to have things figured out in the very near future. White, Silva and Sonnen are all set to attend a press conference in Brazil next Tuesday, so we should know more by that time.

I wouldn’t mind the change,I was always concerned when chael was said to be fighting in Brazil, this way at least he stands a chance cause he’ll only have to deal with one angry Brazilian rather than 80,000
