UFC On FUEL TV 4 Main Event Of Mark Munoz Vs. Chris Weidman Confirmed On ‘UFC Tonight’

A key middleweight tilt in the UFC has been confirmed by Ariel Helwani on “UFC Tonight” Tuesday evening.

Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman have been signed to face off in the main event of UFC on FUEL TV 4 on July 11. A location is yet to be determined.

Munoz will be returning from surgery to clean up several bone fragments in his elbow. The surgery knocked him out of a planned No. 1 contender match with Chael Sonnen earlier this year.

Weidman has won all four of his UFC fights, including a decision victory over Demian Maia.

A planned Jon Fitch-Aaron Simpson fight is also expected for the event.

word. He’s also a Fitch:ich type of fighter: Boring as freaking hell…

That’s not true. He looked good in the Maia fight, except for the fact that he gassed quickly. He has alot better stand up than most wrestlers. I think he’s going to upset in this fight as well.

Dude…He didnt look good at all and I was really judging him for the first time. Everybody knew that he took the fight on short notice, so it was kinda expected that he would gas. And I don’t blame him for that caus thats only natural when u have to cut a lot of weight on a very short time.
But his performance didn’t impress me at all. His technique didn’t impress me at all. And his wrestling most certainly didn’t impress me at all. He should have been able to throw Maia around like a little glove. But he didn’t.
I gotta say, for me he has a lot to prove this next bout.

He submitted both people he fought before Maia, and he did so in the first round.  How is that boring.  He took the Maia fight on like 1 or 2 weeks notice so you would expect him to be more one dimensional.
