UFC 148 Tickets On Sale Next Week, Anderson Silva-Chael Sonnen To Main Event

One of the biggest cards in UFC history is slated to go down July 7, as UFC 148 is now official. The card takes place inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Along with Anderson Silva taking on Chael Sonnen in an epic rematch for the UFC middleweight title, the co-main event of UFC 148 will feature UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber, Forrest Griffin vs. Tito Ortiz for a third time, Michael Bisping vs. Tim Boetsch in a key middleweight title, and Dong Yung Kim vs. Demian Maia.

The Silva-Sonnen match was moved from UFC 147 in Brazil to UFC 148 after several issues came about. The first meeting between the two middleweights took place in California, with Silva scoring a fifth round submission victory while down on the scorecards after four rounds. Cruz and Faber have each met twice before, splitting their two meetings, and are currently coaches on The Ultimate Fighter: Live. Griffin and Ortiz are also 1-1 against each other.

The UFC Fan Expo is also scheduled for July 6-7 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
