Wanderlei Silva is currently engaged in coaching on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil and preparing himself for a rematch with Vitor Belfort.
However, one fighter seems to never be very far off the mind of Silva. That man is Chael Sonnen, who continued his war against Brazil and UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva at a recent press conference.
“The Axe Murderer,” in a recent interview with Tatame, discussed his true feelings for Sonnen, the No. 1 contender in the division.
I have nothing to say to him. I won’t give him that kinda audience. I don’t care about what he says, I’m not interested. If he wants to say those things looking me in the eye, come here. But that way, saying things when you’re distance, he’s an (expletive) face. Only (expletives) say things at your back.
Wanderlei Silva and Sonnen are not very close right now in the rankings, but if Silva defeats Belfort, and Sonnen falls to Anderson Silva, they will get much closer. The pre-fight build these two could engage in would be top-notch, that’s for sure.
