Former Ultimate Fighter winner Ross Pearson will still fight Cub Swanson at UFC on FOX 4, according to UFC president Dana White. White informed reporters, including Damon Martin of MMA Weekly, of the news following a recent press conference.
Pearson was pulled over last Sunday in Las Vegas and booked on the charge of DUI.
“I talked to him on the phone the day that he got out. We’re gonna help him through it,” White said. “That (expletive) happens every day. There’s so much (expletive) happens that you don’t know about. It’s part of the business. We’re all human beings. Don’t jump in your (expletive) car and drive when you’ve been drinking. DUI is as bad of a crime as you can commit, especially in Nevada.”
Pearson is currently helping coach on The Ultimate Fighter: Live as part of Dominick Cruz’s team. It is unknown if Pearson will remain on the show.
UFC on FOX 4 is scheduled for next month from Atlantic City, New Jersey.
