Michael Bisping Feels Like He Won Fight With Chael Sonnen

When the decision was announced that Chael Sonnen had defeated Michael Bisping earlier this year, many felt it could have gone either way.

Among those with those feelings are Bisping himself, as “The Count” told MMA DieHards in a recent interview that he has re-watched the fight several times, and still doesn’t see how he lost it.

Every time I watch it, I think I’ve won. I’m not gonna cry and complain about it. It was a close fight. I think I won rounds one and two, he definitely got round three. So judges, whatever, they maybe favor the takedowns a bit much. I think the general consensus is that I won. Chael Sonnen even thought that I won.

Bisping is now set to try and get back on track against Tim Boetsch at UFC 149 in July. Boetsch is coming off a huge win over Yushin Okami and propelled him up the UFC middleweight ranks.

Exactly what I was thinking. I mean he’s still talking about it. Mike Pierce probably beat Koshcheck but do you hear him still talking about it? It’s like whaaa! I’m not gonna cry and complain about it but I think I won whaaa! I hope Boetsch retires this prick.

I”m by no means a Bisping fan, but I’m sure he was asked this question in an interview.  I don’t think he called up a radio station and started complaining.  I suppose I could be wrong, but it just seems like a question that would get asked…

” Do you think you beat Sonnen?”

his logical answer would be yes with an explanation.

Even if he was answering a question, it still comes off the same way. Some fighters respond a little more gracefully by saying something like, “I shouldn’t have left it the hands of the judges.”

Bisping probably did win the fight, but he can’t seem to string a sentence together without coming off like a douche. I’m not a hater, I respect his fighting skills and I enjoy watching him fight. He’s allowed to think he won the fight, that’s not my issue. He just comes off like a self serving a-hole that’s all.
