UFC president Dana White, just a few days removed from surgery, announced Renan Barao as the opponent for Urijah Faber at UFC 148. The two will meet for the interim UFC bantamweight title.
UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz suffered a torn ACL in training and will be out for several months.
The announcement was made at the conclusion of Friday night’s The Ultimate Fighter: Live episode on FX.
