“UFC Tonight’s” Ariel Helwani reported that UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is scheduled to appear in Binghamton (N.Y.) City Court on May 29 at 9 a.m. for his arraignment hearing.
Helwani also noted that the district attorney will offer a plea bargain at the pre-trial, which is slated for either August or September. If Jones accepts that, there will not be a trial. If he does, the trial will be months later, with a maximum penalty of one-year and $1,000 fine.
Jones was arrested and charged with suspicion of DUI early Saturday morning. He has posted a message on his personal Facebook account, but has not made anything else public.
