UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones faced a different kind of judge on Tuesday, as “Bones” appeared in Binghamton (New York) County Court on a charge of misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. The Press Connect reported on the court hearing.
Jones entered a plea of guilty, and the judge ordered his driving privileges suspended in New York. He will also have to undergo alcohol abuse and dependency evaluation. The next court appearance will take on on June 19.
Back on May 19, Jones hit a pole around 5 a.m. with his 2012 Bentley. Only minor injuries were reported in the one-car accident, which Jones was charged with DUI and booked on.
As for his UFC career, Jones is still expected to face Dan Henderson for the belt on September 1 at UFC 151.
