Wanderlei Silva did not mix words when asked to talk about the recent news that Vitor Belfort had suffered a broken hand and would be forced out of their planned main event at UFC 147.
On his personal Twitter page, “The Axe Murderer” gave some strong words for Belfort. Silva is awaiting news on a new opponent for June 23.
I’m really sad. I’m ready to knock out you, you have nowhere to run. I guess you got scared of me. Nobody trains so hard that breaks his hand. We use the best equipment. If you were scared, you shouldn’t have accepted it. If you really got it broken, that’s amateurism and if you didn’t you’re scared. In both scenarios, it was irresponsible of you towards the fans.
Silva also called Belfort an amateur for the incident happening. The card takes place in Brazil from Belo Horizonte.
