Jon Fitch has been forced out of his scheduled match with Aaron Simpson at UFC on FUEL TV 4, according to a report by MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.
After the WrestlingObserver.com first reported the injury to Fitch, Helwani confirmed it with Bob Cook, the head trainer for Fitch (23-4-1).
Simpson is moving to welterweight, from the ranks of middleweight, and is likely to receive a new opponent for the July 11 card from San Jose.
In the main event, Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman will square off in a key middleweight battle.
