Patrick Cote Expresses His Thanks For Return To UFC

Patrick Cote went from being inside the Octagon with UFC middleweight champion to fighting outside of the UFC after three consecutive defeats.

Now, the UFC has granted Cote another chance to compete, signing him to face Cung Le at UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II. Cote takes the place of Rich Franklin, who replaced Vitor Belfort in a bout with Wanderlei Silva.

Cote *17-7) picked up four-straight victories outside the UFC after his release in 2010. Along with his loss to Silva, “The Predator” was defeated by Alan Belcher and Tom Lawlor, prompting his release.

UFC 148 will take place July 7 from Las Vegas, Nevada. Cote-Le will remain on the main card, which boasts Silva-Chael Sonnen for the UFC middleweight crown.
