The Ultimate Fighter will no longer feature live fights, as the upcoming season will go back to taped versions of the past, UFC president Dana White confirmed to Yahoo! Sports in a recent interview.
The show will remain on Friday at 10 p.m. ET, White said, but added, “if it’s not up to the standards I’m expecting, I’m pretty sure (FX) they’ll give me what I want. But this season was a smash hit home run for them.”
White also said that casting for the upcoming 16th season will begin in three weeks, with the debut set for September. Welterweight fighters will be featured, but the coaches have yet to be confirmed.
