Maynard’s Camp Files Complaint, Clay Guida To Have Hair Braided At UFC on FX 4

In an odd bit of MMA news, one of the UFC’s most famous haircuts will be more tame than usual inside the octagon.

After a formal complaint was filed with the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board from Gray Maynard’s camp, the former title challenger’s opponent, Clay Guida, has opted to braid his hair for their upcoming headlining bout on FX.

As first reported by MMAJunkie.com. Maynard’s camp filed a complaint about Guida’s hair and its potential to interfere in the fight, about a month ago. Rather than taking the issue to a hearing, Guida decided to comply with the opposing camp’s request, despite being unhappy with being required to do so.

For his part, Maynard claims he was unaware of his camp’s request.

    as a fan: that sucks. But from maynard’s pod: i can see how that hair would be gross as Guida vibrates and rattles on top of him. Yuck

    It would be interesting to see how that complaint would of played out had Clay took a different approach and made them take it a decision by the athletic commission. Stead Clay shows how cool of a guy he is by deciding to hear them out and braid his hear or abide their complaint – While his hair is a symbol of his character and appeal to casual and veteran ufc fans & moreso he makes his money from his appearance and brand that is The caveman aka carpenter Clay Guida.  He might fight better too who knows when all is said n done, if he was winning fights with his hair in his eyesight too the only affect this should have is how much of a poosssy Gaay Maynard is
