Two bantamweights looking to rebound from losses are about to collide.
MMAWeekly.com is reporting that bantamweights Jeff Hougland and Takeya Mizugaki will go toe to toe at UFC 151 on September 1st.
Mizugaki looks to bring his UFC record over the .500 mark, after he suffered a controversial decision loss to Chris Cariaso at UFC 144. The scores provided by the judges in that fight were highly criticized, and the promotion opted to give Mizugaki his win bonus, feeling he had been slighted.
Hougland also looks to get over the .500 mark in his UFC career. After a decision win in his UFC debut, he found himself outpointed by veteran Yves Jabouin back at UFC on FUEL TV 3.
Featuring a light heavyweight championship bout between Jon Jones and Dan Henderson, UFC 151 takes place September 1st from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s expected this bout will be relegated to the preliminary card.
