Spencer Fisher Decides To Retire From MMA Following Loss To Sam Stout

Spencer Fisher believes his trilogy of fights with Sam Stout are a perfect way to finish his career.

The 36-year-old Team Evolution fighter announced his retirement following a decision loss to Stout Friday night at UFC on FX: Maynard vs. Guida.

“Yeah, I think that was it,” said Fisher, during the post-fight show on FUEL TV. “Sam brings the best out of me. It was a good way to end the trilogy.”

Fisher has went just 1-5 in his last six appearances inside the Octagon, and finishes with a career mark of 24-9. He did not rule out a possible return to fighting, but said, “if I did come back, it would be at 145 pounds. I’m too small for 155.”
