Fall Return Likely For Ex-Strikeforce Champion Miesha Tate

Miesha Tate should be back inside a Strikeforce cage later this year, according to Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker.

Coker, while a guest on MMAjunkie Radio recently, confirmed that Tate is ready to begin training after the damage done to her arm in a loss to Ronda Rousey earlier this year.

“We don’t have anything to announce officially, but I believe you’ll see her back in the cage in a relatively quick manner,” Coker said. “She’s pretty much healed up and ready to start training. But you’ll see her back in the cage the early part of fall.”

Tate is 12-3 in her MMA career, including a 5-2 mark in Strikeforce. She had won six consecutive fights prior to the loss.
