Tito Ortiz Preparing For The Fight Of His Life

Former UFC light heavyweight kingpin Tito Ortiz will make his final appearance inside the Octagon on July 7 when he meets rival Forrest Griffin at UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen 2.

Ortiz will be inducted into the UFC’s Hall of Fame during the weekend. He is a former champion in one of the deepest divisions in all of MMA.

During a recent media conference call, Ortiz talked about what is going through his mind as he prepares to enter the Octagon for a final time.

I’ve been waiting 15 years for this, for 15 minutes. Only 15 minutes of my life I’ll have to give. Over the last eight weeks, I’ve been giving that 15 minutes (for) three hours, four hours, five hours a day, six days a week, preparing for Forrest. I’m ready. Let’s fight.

Ortiz and Griffin have split their previous two meetings, with Ortiz winning the first and Griffin claiming the second in 2009.

Its one of the crappiest match ups in UFC history. Both fighters are so far down the decision hardly anyone cares. They should both retire before fight and should never fight again!
