Former UFC lightweight title contender Joe Stevenson was defeated in his first fight outside of the UFC since 2004 Saturday night.
Dakota Cochrane, a former challenger on The Ultimate Fighter, scored a second round rear-naked choke victory over Stevenson in the main event of RFA 3: Stevenson vs. Cochrane from Nebraska.
Stevenson (31-15) has now lost four consecutive fights, including three while in the UFC. Cochrane, meanwhile, is 12-3 in his career and snapped a two-fight losing skid with the win.
Among those that turned out for the card were UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, Stephan Bonnar and Justin McCully. Jones even provided a little commentary during the show.
Bubba Jenkins, a former NCAA Div. I wrestling champion, picked up his third MMA victory since joining the sport. He submitted Jesus Adams for his third submission victory.
