Tito Ortiz Now Officially A Hall Of Famer

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz was officially inducted as the ninth member of the UFC’s Hall of Fame Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas.

In just a few hours, Ortiz will make his final appearance inside the Octagon as a fighter, taking on Forrest Griffin in the co-main event of UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II.

MMA Junkie’s Matt Erickson and John Morgan were on hand for the ceremony involving the former kingpin at 205 pounds.

Over the years I’ve put into this sport, I gave my heart, I gave my soul, I gave my body. It’s time to walk away because I’ve done everything I can possibly do in this sport.

Ortiz owns a 16-10-1 record in his fighting career, including all but one of those bouts being consisted inside the Octagon. He will be facing Griffin for a third time, with each fighter owning a decision victory over the other.
