Chael Sonnen Very Humble In Defeat

Chael Sonnen knows that his mouth helped him receive a pair of UFC middleweight title shots against Anderson Silva.

Being one of the most outspoken fighters in all of MMA, Sonnen has never stopped working hard, however, inside the practice room. His training regiments are legendary; they just haven’t been enough to secure him that elusive UFC title.

After a second loss to Anderson Silva Saturday night at UFC 148, Sonnen was complimentary of the man he has been chasing for two years.

I think it’s very important when you lose a fight that you don’t say your opponent was better tonight. The better guy wins every time; the better guy won tonight.

Silva seemed to also be fine with Sonnen now that the war was over, offering an invite to a Brazilian barbeque in the future. Sonnen laughed when Silva extended the invitation, and even made a joke at the post-fight press conference about it, claiming he wanted his food cooked medium-rare.
