Rashad Evans Vs. Anderson Silva? Evans Says Let’s Do It

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans informed the world Saturday night that he would be willing to face Anderson Silva if the UFC allows it.

Just minutes after Silva defeated Chael Sonnen in the main event of UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen 2, “Suga” fired off a request through Twitter.

Evans last competed against UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones earlier this year, falling by decision. Evans has said in the past the only fight he would drop to middleweight to have is against “The Spider.”

    maybe a catchweight if silva doesn’t have any ready contenders, but for rashad to jump down to 185 and get an immediate title shot sounds just silly.

      Agreed, it would be one thing if there weren’t any challengers, but with Bisping, Lombard, Munoz, and a couple other guys looking solid it doesn’t make sense for Rashad to get an immediate shot. But if he could cut the weight and still be strong it would be fun to see

        Wtf? Munoz, bisping, really? Looking solid. like Scottm is saying, Rashad is the only one who has a chance. Hes a better version av Chael, hes got worldclass wrestling+ bjj+ speed and KO power.

        He should get an immediate shot, there is no other reasonable opponent against Silva
